Partners

SOAR was founded in 2001 with financial assistance from KVL, now KU/LIFE, Danish Research Centre for Organic Farming and Food (DARCOF) and the Danish Research Agency, now the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (FIST). SOAR received funding from FIST for another 5 years' period 2006-2010. SOAR is a national research school, offering its services to all PhD students in Denmark within the scope of organic food and farming research, enrolled at any university.

SOAR is linked up with extensive international networks of more or less formal character.

  Univsersity of Copenhagen - Faculty of Life Sciences SOAR is located at Copenhagen University, Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE). Head of School is an employee at LIFE, an associate professor or a professor. At LIFE, SOAR is part of the Cluster of Research Schools in Natural Resources (CRS-NR), which also includes the Research School of Horticultural Sciences (RSHS), Research School for Forestery, Planning and Landscape (REFOLANA) and the Research School for Applied Economics (AECON), all Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE), at Copenhagen University.
 /upload/soar/img/darcof_logo small.jpg SOAR was founded with assistance from Danish Research Centre for Organic Farming and Food (DARCOF / FØJO), and there is a close collaboration between SOAR and DARCOF. The devision of tasks is so that DARCOF deals with research and SOAR with reseach training within organic agriculture and food systems.
  SOAR is part of the NOVA Network for Agroecology/ Ecological Agriculture; Agroasis. A list of all Nordic PhD students within organic food and farming is available from this web-site.
Through Agroasis SOAR cooperates with the Swedish sister research school, SwOFF
  NOVA University Network has supported our Summer Schools through the NOVA Network for Agroecology / Ecologial Agriculture; Agroasis
SOAR and University of Makarere has a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration in research and research training.
