Research in organic food and farming is an expanding discipline in Europe, and the European Union has financed a growing number of research projects in organic farming. In May 2006, researchers from at least ten EU-funded research projects in organic food and farming join the same congress and present their results.
This PhD course will acquaint students with the latest results from research in organic agriculture, as PhD students will attend selected presentations at the congress and use the acquired knowledge to work out hypothesis on how organic farming and food production may contribute to rural development in Europe.
