SOAR arranges seminars for the PhD students affiliated to SOAR. The PhD fellows are involved in planning and implementing the seminars. Through the seminars SOAR supports networking, implements small courses, takes up discussions and issues that the PhD fellows suggest. The seminars are hosted by the different partner institutions where the PhD fellows work, and ongoing research of the different research groups is presented. Through discussions the participants gain exposure and new insights to the breadth of research within organic farming and food systems, and about objectives, methodologies, values and quality issues.
SOAR usually arranges two seminars every year, and it is usually for PhD students and post docs affiliated to SOAR only. Specific events at the seminars will be open to supervisors and others.
The seminars are free of cost and include food and lodging, but not transport.
