Clarifying expectations

Potential problems in supervision may be avoided if the PhD student and the supervisors clarify what expectations they have to one another. Start out familiarizing yourself with what supervisors expect of students and what students expect of supervisors, and allocatate a supervision meeting to discuss and clarify this among yourselves (PhD students and supervisor or team of supervisors).
